I am not against change, but I simply cannot find any reason to change over to the new dog training collars. Of course, their transmitters are usually more compact but I find them very uncomfortable to hold my hand. However, the Tritronics Classic 70 is very easy and comfortable to hold. I work dogs all day without any fear of contracting carpal tunnel syndrome. Further, it can be used on any dogs. I can add other dog to the system without losing the training for other dogs. With such convenience, it really is no wonder that I prefer this classic training system to another fancier, newer ones available on the market!
